you are fully capable of deciding your own destiny
( which path will you choose? )
This is something only you can decide
You know, coming back in time, changing history... That's cheating.
Several people have asked how we were planning to handle inactive players. Here is our solution:
Before the first meeting of each month when I go over the roster to see who needs to be promoted I will note the last time each person was active. If a fleet member has not been active for 3 months and has not posted a reason on the leave of absence board, I will demote them one rank. Every 3 months after that they will lose an additional rank. They will not be booted from the fleet unless we are at or near the maximum members in the fleet. I believe that's 500 members.
If the player becomes active again at some later time they can again climb the ranks to attain their former position. The person in question will have already qualified for a higher rank so all that will be required is putting in some time. An Archangel could conceivably wave this step and just return the member to their former rank. This will be on a case by case bases and needs a majority vote from all the Archangels.
This whole process can be avoided, thus saving me a lot of time checking when you were on last, if you use the Leave of Absence board and tell us you won't be around for awhile. Don't worry if your reason is just "I need a break from this game" or "Man, the new Elder Scrolls game just came out!" We're all gamers and we all know those are legitimate reasons to disappear for awhile.
